Place of encounter ruled by the sun
Hacienda Molinos is a mandatory stop on any tour round the Calchaquí Valleys.
This traditional hacienda, which dates back to the 18th century and was home to the last governor of Salta appointed by the King of Spain, has been refurbished to provide you with all comfort expected from a 21st century hotel, while preserving the essence and typical features of colonial times.
The patio shaded with the pepper tree, the thick walls made of adobe, the iron window bars and the ceilings made of carob tree and reed are some of the enchanting details the hotel offers, which mark its character and take our visitors on a journey to the past.
Molinos used to be part of the Inca Road and witnessed as such a blending of races, people, roots and senses. Nowadays, its streets romantically lit by lanterns silently narrate part of this history.
Molinos is a town with history. Experience yours at our Hacienda.
The sky and landscape feed the soul. we do the rest.

Silence and history are an added value included in our service
Our 18 rooms at Hacienda de Molinos have been categorized into standard and superior. Every room has heating and a private bathroom equipped with a bathtub, a shower and a hairdryer.
Standard rooms are arranged around the pepper tree patio and around the second main patio of the hacienda. A view of the Calchaquí River and the imposing reddish mountains in the backyard can be enjoyed.
In superior rooms, the rustic decor is in sharp contrast to design details. These rooms have been furnished with luxury and good taste, with pieces exclusively made for the hotel by local artisans.
Like the rooms from the 18th century, all hotel rooms are spacious and the ceilings made of carob trees and carved rafters can be appreciated by our visitors.
All-time flavours and authentic recipes
At Molinos you may enjoy all-time flavours, authentic and farm recipes made from regional ingredients, with the mark of signature cuisine and the authenticity of our local chefs at the Hacienda. The best labels of the Calchaquí Valleys have been included in our wine selection.
Our gastronomic offer includes regional food, dishes with Andean ingredients, classical recipes and international cuisine. The empanadas and bread are baked in a mud oven, as was customary in colonial times.
